Shanghai UCHEM Inc was found in 2009, whose initial projects were focused on synthesis of N-containing bidentate/ tridentate ligand, e.g. synmmetric/ unsymmetric substituted 1,10-phenanthroline, 2,2’-bipyridine and 2,2’:6’,2”-terpyridine derivatives, projects coming from AUTOMOTIVE FUEL CELL COOPERATION, TCI and the institutes from all over the worlds.
2010.03. The first patent was issued as “Hydrolysis Resistant Polyether-Modified Silylated Surfactants”, ZL201010130937.2. This project was supported by Shanghai Science and Technology Commission.
2011.03. The first batch of 2,2’:6’,2”-Terpyridine-4,4’,4”-tricarboxylic acid CAS: 216018-58-5 in kilograms was done, which is key ligand for “black dye”, reported by M. Grätzel et. al.(Chem. Commun. 1997, (18), 1705-1706; J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2001, 123(8), 1613-1624.). The synthetic route we designed was published by Husson et. al. on Nature Protocols (2014, 9(1), 21-26) and Taichi et. al. at PCT2014044685. This project was initiated by Dyesol from Australia.
2012.11. The scale-up process for bathophenanthroline-metal catalyzed polymerization of perfluoroolefin for fuel cell application has been initiated in the plant for AFCC. We’ve been supplying bathophenanthroline CAS:1662-01-7 to them, which require removing the metal residue (≤10ppm) in the ligand to keep catalytic efficiency. The current needs is raised up to 10Kg per batch.
2013.06. 2014.08. The synthetic lab was moved to Kaifeng, Henan province, cooperated with Kaifeng Yuegong Chemical Co., Ltd. for process scale-up and manufacturing.
Our business in Shanghai has been expanded to chemical exporting trade.
2017.05. Manufacturing process optimization for Bredereck's reagent CAS:5815-08-7 was finished and has been supplying in commercial size.
2020.03. Moved to Qinyang city , Henan province, where our lab is expanded to 1200m2 , equiped with 50-100L reactors for kilogram manufacturing. Our team as startup team has been supported by Qinyang Science and Technology Commission, Jiaozuo Science and Technology Commission. 2021.03. N-Containing Heterocyclic Organic Molecule Engineering Technology Center, based on our lab, was named and supported by Jiaozuo Science and Technology Commission.
2022.04. The construction of our workshop was finished. It is currently under design and equipment installation stage.
